The temple was constructed by His Holiness, Anantashree Vibhushit Swami Narayana Theerth, Sankaracharya of the Kalikamba peeth, Gangotri. He is from the pristine, unbroken and authentic order of the Sankaracharya tradition that was established by Sri AdiSankara Bhagavatpaada himself. Swamiji got his initiation into the holy Sanyasa order from His Holiness Anantasri Swami Niranjana Dev Teerth, the Shankaracharya of Govardhana Peeth, Puri, in the year 1976, on the Mahashivaratri day. Swamiji has been a true disciple of His Holiness Anantasri Abhinava Vidya Teertha Mahaswamin, whom he held with deep veneration, love and respect as a living God on earth.
